Tricia Oakes is a wanderlusting foodie, Anglophile, wife, and mama who loves travel, tasting and experience. At Southern Spark you’ll find tips about meals, events and trips big and small.
Sprinkles of stories about raising two Wee Frat Boys (born in 2006 and 2010) in outside of Charlotte in Fort Mill, South Carolina and being married to funniest man in the state are thrown in to taste. All are delivered in a pot of Southern accent with a side of sassy mouth.
Before she began pretending that she is the offspring of Rick Steves and Anthony Bourdain in cute shoes, Tricia was raised her in Charlotte, educated at the University of Georgia and the University of Texas at Austin, peppered it with a Junior Year abroad at England’s University of Reading.
Tricia writes a regular column for the Fort Mill Times, and is a regular contributor to Aiming Low (a nationally recognized humor blog), Lifetime TV’s The Balancing Act blog, and been recognized for excellence in humor writing on The Cleverist. She has been featured on local news segments and America Now discussing blogging and travel. For additional information, please see the Advertising/PR page.
