Tricia Oakes is a wanderlusting foodie, Anglophile, wife, and mama who loves travel, tasting and experience. At Southern Spark you’ll find tips about meals, events and trips big and small.

Sprinkles of stories about raising two Wee Frat Boys (ages five and two) in suburban Fort Mill, South Carolina and being married to funniest man in the state are thrown in to taste. All are delivered in a pot of Southern accent with a side of sassy mouth.

Before she began pretending that she is the offspring of Rick Steves and Anthony Bourdain in cute shoes, Tricia was raised her in Charlotte, educated at the University of Georgia and the University of Texas at Austin, then peppered it with a Junior Year abroad at England’s University of Reading.

Tricia writes a regular column for the Fort Mill Times, and is currently available for freelance writing,  guest blogging,  product, and venue review assignments. Her geographic areas of expertise include Charlotte, North Carolina and surrounding areas; Asheville, North Carolina; and Charleston, South Carolina, but won’t turn down options to go elsewhere. Please see the Advertising/PR page for additional media information.
